A wonderful Dutch, Franz West style wrought iron shipping chain floor lamp with bronze fittings

A wonderful turn of the century Dutch wrought iron shipping chain made into a floor lamp inb the style of Franz West. Re wired with new bronze fittings, antique gold cord flex with foot switch and PAT tested. With natural hessian shade.

The chain is an original turn of the century heavy link Dutch shipping chain, that would have been used for a time and then replaced as the strain of holding large ships means they were regularly replaced. They cannot be used after this point for shipping, so often they got repurposed. This is a lovely example with a wonderful natural patina and age on the metal, giving it a very brutalist feel.
